Wet handling day

Following the thread where we all laughed, winced and howled with anguish at a video where a fool drove a Koeeniggseeeeeeg into some people in Poland, this thread is gathering names for those who want to learn how to not make a prat of themselves and / or avoid a nasty smash when the going gets slippery.

Miles, who is organised and good and making stuff happen, has kindly agreed to organise and make stuff happen. Perhaps at Silverstone.

Miles, I hope you don't me starting the thread. This is just about the limit of my organisational talents, and I want to at least appear to be doing something helpful.

As AndyK
I've just been bough / upgraded a drifting experience by my family. You'd really think they'd have learned by now.

I've done a few of these now and learn something every time, so depending on date and location I'm up for it.
I'd be in the Elise this time though, which should be interesting as it's the car I know how to drive best out of all the others I've done the experience in previously, but the lads that have been in Elises before have always struggled to hold it in a drift. So that'll be my mission for the day!

Your Lambo stuck to even the slipperiest parts like glue last time, Dan. Seriously impressive, albeit not what you were aiming for! The Lotus boys who came along last time got cloest to holdingh a drift if I remember rightly. I was just cr"p.

Oh this sounds like fun. Especially as I drive like a complete Hampton. Should really wear a hat to warn fellow road users.

I might well be up for this. Would be wrong to leave my Masers at home and bring my 944 turbo instead?

I'd suggest bringing what ever you feel you'll get the best benefit from learning stuff in.

Or of course, what ever you feel will be the most fun!

For a moment I considered bringing the X5 to see if it would drift :D
But then the fun factor kicked in.

As mentioned in the other thread - would it be possible to AM and PM split with different activities - so that we could make a whole day of it?

AM - Laps of the track, or, 0-60+mph on the runway ... or something else
PM - Wet Handling?

We could swap it so that some do wet handling in the morning while others do the other activity?

Not sure about costs/feasibility ... just an idea.

Cheers
