Last May I said I was going to come along this year but it looks like I will be working in the far east this October. Bollox.

Miles, would it be ok to have a couple of old classic minis attend?

Of course Enzo. Just add their details to the list. I'm thinking 20 will be a good balance of numbers / cost against track time, perhaps 18?

I'll speak to the instructor when we get back from Le Mans and see if we can tailor the day to our liking.

Regards, Miles.

Miles,

If you are looking to go over 16 attending I'll probably do both sessions to make the most of it, unless it is over subscribed as I don't want to stop anyone else getting the benifit of this great event...

Cheers,

Newton

If there's any need to boost numbers, my office manager has recently got herself a Boxter and could benefit from some wet handling...

Miles,

Please put me down for this as I could do with learning how to drive properly. I'll read through the rest of the posts to get furhter details.

Bal, it sounds like you and I have the same objective! By and large I've got away with it so far but never feel I'm driving my cars as well as I might. Combine that with keeping the bvgger in a straight line when things get slippery and a day's learning is frankly long overdue.

Yeah Adam, you're spot on.

I've been finding my 4200 a little less planted in terms of road feedback than my oil burning ford. Not sure if it's just me or is there something going on due to my lack of use of the car. Passed MOT and servicing ok without any issues so may be down to me not having the do-dahs to push her, but then again as you say they can snap in the wet unless you know what you're doing.

I'm looking forward to it.

Not yet Andrew. Now I'm back from Le Mans I'll get the date confirmed and also speak to the instructor to see what we can do to customise the day to our rliking. I'll come back to you shortly with an update.....

Okay we're confirmed for the 20th October.

I have the contact details to get in touch with the instructor (different one from last time) so I need your thoughts as to how to structure the day. So far we have 16 but including a few still to confirm. If we stick at 16 then that's £150 each. Are people happy with this?

A morning and afternoon session would put 8 in each session and plenty of time on each manoeuvre I would have thought, but alternatively we could have one day long session to give plenty of repetition on each manoeuvre. What do people think?

And to anyone that might be interested but not yet on the list, please do post and I'll at least get a reserve list running. Check out the facilities in this link....http://www.rockingham.co.uk/about/rockingham-wet-grip.php

Miles,

With the reduced numbers I'm happy ether way, one long session we get to meet everyone & a good deal of chat time or intense sessions.....

I'll go with the flow £150 is excellent value for money anyway.

Happy with the date and the price. Quite like the idea of an all day session having done just the morning session before and left feeling that they day was over too soon.
However, with only 8 people per session an intensive morning or afternoon session would still be better than previous times where I felt that was standing around waiting for half the session.

Either way, I'd like to be able to have more than 4 goes at the drifting at the end of the session. As that always seems to be over far too soon.
