Mate of mine is a semi pro drifter and he does the ring a few times a year. Shame he stuffed his CSL there a few years back. Even the good drivers have off Days!

I can't say I have much interest in doing the 'ring - it's full of turbonutterbastards, and it takes far too long to learn.

The 'ring is much better during the week. At weekends the ambition outweighs the talent on a very regular basis. Good place to visit if not driving for spectating/looking around the car park and the "new" Nurburgring complex is impressive. Definitely not as controlled as a proper track day though and too much of a free for all.

Yeah, that really didn't sell it to me.

Someone pulls out onto the line from nowhere, massive speed differentials, yellow flag just by the incident, get going again to find a low loader in the way.

I like the idea of driving the ring but it does look a bit iffy to say the least.

Agree with you all. I did the ring a couple of years ago. Did 3 laps. Never going again. Too many nutters too many opportunities for things to go wrong that you have zero control of.

Plus very expensive when something does happen.

Ring!... No chance in my own car.

The commentary on the videos reminds me of one of the most apt comments made by JC about boy racers.

Watch this... proceeded with a load crash and lots of twisted metal.

Eh?

Just collecting the names together, so we've got an idea of numbers. What's OCD about that?
