Government said they would follow the Science.
But there are 'scientists' and 'scientists' one of my customers is an emeritus Profesor, and shall we just say its 'his field' and he told me last week that he knows a lot of the 'scientists' and comented that a lot of them aren't that good. He has been asked to speak on this subject, but has refused for other reasons.

The science <> A scientist.

Sorry to point out the obvious

C
With you on this. The one things CV19 has pointed out is that ‘science’ is not an absolute. It demonstrates that science needs time as all papers go through an extensive and lengthy peer review process before they are published....it’s just a view that lots of bright people who can’t work a corkscrew probably agree on having discussed it for a long time. Bet very few of them appreciate nice cars..as they are irrational choices and Scientists are convinced that they are the most rational people around.

PS You should never post without reading the most recent posts in a thread. Clearly I am materially off piste here.

Thus it has always been. Otherwise we'd still be practicing the doctrine of signatures and wondering how we can store phlogiston.

No idea what any of that means without phoning Mr Google but most modern science looks shite two centuries down the road.
