For the record I don't read newspapers or watch the news. I tend to spend lots of time doing my own research and then making my own mind up. I don't need any media....conventional, social or otherwise to tell me what to think.

I'm a firm believer of capitalism but actual capitalism and free markets. Not capitalism when it suits you and a bit of socialism when it fails.

I can't be bothered Wattie as I've got to put some pins in my eyes. I'm sure you have better things to do as well.

There's nowt wrong with a pinch of socialism. NHS for one, Rishi Sunak as another (Furlough policies) but definitely not Corbyn or anyone else to the left of Starmer.

In all of this palaver over grades, one talking head last week said that she got a 'U' or Ungraded as it was rubbish, she said her life was in ruins (at 18). Clearly she's too thick to understand that a U isn't going to miraculously turn into a C or above upon appeal. If so, then I'll appeal my Design and Communication GCE result of D in 1987.

Possibly the easiest target for the opposition ever. They could say nothing that a large portion of people wouldn't agree with.

Odd one though, while there's a massive over reaction (lives ruined at 18) the capitulation just hasn't solved all the problems. 12% grade inflation (from memory)

Can you confirm whether I should or should not believe this as it’s in the media ;)
Well, I’m sure you will not however I respond since it represents something to potentially be positive about and that is anathema to you unless it’s gold or tits

It’s economy is in tatters.....for 22 deaths in 6 months.
I sincerely hope that the extreme socialist Jacinda Arden has written a sympathetic card to each and every victim of her incompentence. I'm sure the great prsiedent Don trump has to all of his 170,000 patritoic Americans who have fallen victim to this chinese/russian disease.

Teachers!
All this exam stuff could have been avoided with a bit of pro active thinking and less re active whingeing
We have all known since at least March that exams were looming. We could have had exams taken by students with suitable Covid precautions over several days, different papers, better use of rooms, get teachers invigilating etc etc. Instead nothing was done except blame someone else
Tin hat at the ready............

So I wonder what the pass rate for A levels will be now?

They have been increasing year by year they should be 100% now
