Every year ASDA organise a massive charity event at Bruntinthorpe.......Its a brilliant event that raises a shed load of money for charity....This year we raised money for three charities who all recieved 21k each.....

The event is amazing with the main event being passeger rides in supercars around the track.......We get a load of clubs who turn up every year....Some of the cars we get on track...Ferrari, Lotus, Lambo, Viper, GTR, Skylines, Atoms, Caterhams, Subaru to name a few......

Also there are air displays, Kev Swift stunts in his Mini, fair ground, rally course with passenger rides, you can drive a bus or artic around the track, ASDA driver of the year competition (which our depot one last this year) and more....

So why am I telling you this...Nexts years event is on the 11th August and although thats an age away I would love to get Sportsmaserati there next year.......Its could be a struggle as I have been promised our own gate as long as we have 20 cars...........

So would anyone be interested in principle even though its a age away.....

All you would need to do is turn up and give punters passenger rides for charity...So its a FREE track day for anyone wanting to take part...Plus a great family day out..........

The day is by invitation only and that includes entry......It is a great day and it would be great to have a load of SMers as we have never had a Maserati on the day.....

This is the mail I have had so far from the guys that organise.....

Hi Andy
if you can get about 20 we will give you your own gate , that’s six in the gate and you change them as and when they want to come off , so every one can have a good track day , we sweep the track on the Friday for six hours so its very clean , this is family fun day so its for the whole family of the drivers to come as well , see if you can get a team together and e/mail me with the numbers but you will need about 20/30 cars on the day as the track is open form 0900 till 1230 and 1400 till 1700, with an air display in the middle while you are at lunch,

Hi everyone,
The On Your Marks team are proud to announce the date for next years charity event to be held at our usual venue, Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground is on SATURDAY 11TH AUGUST 2012 so get it in your diaries now.
If anyone has any ideas of how to improve our day or can get any kind of attraction, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Chris and I will be getting in touch with the hotel soon to try and get the same deals as last year and when this is confirmed we will let you know.
Due to everyone's help we will be giving away an amazing £21,000 each to Wishes4kids and Sparks on the 15th November.

Can I just ask that anyone who in principle would like to participate in the day please just let me know and I will start a list......As soon as I think we could have enough I will reserve our gate on track....

Well I won't be on holiday then as they've just informed all the health workers for the olympic boroughs there will be no holidays allowed for July/August & September whilst the olympics anf paralympics are on... Jeanette is officially notified!

So I may as well book myself in for this one assuming I can get to the M25!!!

Andy. Have a friend that has a Gran Turismo, not a forum member, but has a huge amount of track experience. Mind if I ask him?
