I said you were minted ,There's also a sense of pride in completing a big job, this year I'll be building a 10x10 summerhouse, fitting a new kitchen, re-laying the patio and spending the money i've saved on a QP hopefully

Priorities innit. Respect to you for enjoying that stuff. I would as well, but just don't have the time and am more inclined to do other stuff

Looking on the website the gate opens at 8.45 for display cars and 10.30 for the public. I think that getting there for around 9.30 sounds about right to avoid the initial rush so I suggest leaving Wetherby services at 9am. I'll aim to be there between 8.30 and 8.45.

Forecast is for sunny weather all day so let's try and get more than 4 cars there.

See you at Wetherby Services before 9.
Being a first event for them should be interesting to the numbers attending.

Great day, weather just perfect, and a good turnout for a first event.
Lots of lovely Italian cars of all types, my favourite of the show was a Ferrari Mondial, just don't know why they were so unloved! Looking at prices on on-line for them, they appear to have doubled and the rest from last I looked 5 years ago when they were £20K for a good one. Missed that boat!
Met a few new Maserati owners that I hope will make an appearance on SportsMaserati.
Newby Hall is a great place to visit, the family easily enjoyed it and both kids were fast asleep for the hours journey back home.

A few more.
Thinking about it was surprised not a single Lancia Delta Integrale (that I could see).
Was predominantly Alfa Romeo Owners Club though in attendance.

Some of mine. The little Alfa Guilia's were lovely and the 1931 Alfa 6C. I think the Montreal might have been the one for me. I can't believe that no-one took any photos of the blue 500 Abarth with the sewing machine engine, horrible wheels and hydraulic suspension!

All in all a good day, lovely weather, nice cars, good company, few new potential forum members. Will do it next year if they run it again.

Funny that there were no pictures of that Abarth. Wrong show for it really.

I liked the Montreal but I'd been spoiled by seeing two in Beaulieu earlier in the year. My car of the day was a toss up between the Lancia Thema 8.32 and the Alfa Romeo F12 Ambulance.

I wish i'd come now, got more digging done than expected yesterday but the touring cars were on at oulton and I have a season ticket so I thought I ought to make use of it, but I left at 2, it was uncomfortably hot and mobbed, estimate was 40,000 people and it looked like it.

I was sat on the banking looking at the back of 15 gazebos, getting wafts of barbecue smoke in my face in blazing sun when I thought stuff it.

I thought if I don't leave now it's going to take hours to get out

the thought of chugging out burning the clutch up in miles of traffic made me leave

The reddy / orange 3200 looks sweeeeet, who's is it???

Don't know I'm afraid I didn't track down the owner of that or the QP (which is one of Dicky's). Need to get some business cards printed to leave on windscreens.
