I have to go into Dick Lovetts on the way as they are updating my satnav firmware to the 2012 spec. If anyone cares to meet me there for some tyre kicking, I am planning to get there around 2pm.

Safe?! Hadn't even considered safety until you said that Andy?! Do I need to be concerned?!

Picked up a new helmet for the day yesterday. Does it need any specific rating as it's designed as a US racing motorbike helmet?!

No you don't need to be concerned unless you drive like a twit out side your own limits.......This is the 5th one I've organised and not had an accident at one yet....It is safer than driving fast on the road to be honest.....Any nonsence and you get black flagged...You can only over take on the left on the straights once the car in front indicates for you to do so......This is a gentlemans track day and everyone drives with respect for others...Its great fun.....

PS, we have only had one member black flagged and it may suprise you to hear it was the mild mannered Enzo in his QP......;-)

Depends on how you drive and what you have on your car....Most go away with tyres in tacked....SOme like me need new ones......but I have Toyo's on my GTV and I believe they are too soft.....

Ren, thats my issue too, but I am going to buy some part worns (3-4mm) off ebay for £100 for the fronts, the rears will be fine, it will be your NSF tyre that gets eaten, believe me, I have raced there twice before.

I am going to reluctantly take the GTS on the track but I am not going to go mad (famous last words)

Loz enjoyed the few laps we did last time, I have the dents in the passenger foot rest to prove it
