I would love an esprit but it's probably the only car that genuinely scares me, if anything went wrong with the engine it just looks impossible to work on!! Also good ones are way out of the price range.
It was actually another Elise one of the guys on seloc had messaged me about a supercharged S1 with the Honda lump.
However he messaged on Thursday but I did not see his message until yesterday now I fear he may have gone cold on the idea as I have not had a reply. Shame as it sounds a good one, the gamble and why I assume he is considering the swap is it needs a new charger, which if I'm right would cost around £3000. But I would love to own one very very quick.
I think I am right in saying the standard type r lump in a Elise gives you under 4 seconds 0-60 so with the S/C it would be mental.
I will let you know if we have anymore progress

The only downside for me is it's a silver S1 which is exactly what we already have I know the wife would not want to drive the Honda one much as she loves her current one, and to be fair I think for me it would probably be too much. However as I have considered doing this to ours a number of times it would at least scratch an itch, and I should not lose much if any money on it, even if the charger costs £3000 that would then owe me £14500 which I should get back for it.
