Attended Meridien Modena workshops this morning and took advantage of the free inspection. If nothing else it provided some reassurance if any was needed. I spoke with several owners who had not heard of this Forum so I was glad to have the chance to talk enthusiastically about our activities and to make the introduction. I met two Quattroporte drivers who live in the same road in Ringwood, Hampshire. One of the cars was an unusual but attractive metallic british racing green (sorry I don't know the correct Italian description) previously owned by Sir Elton John. As one would expect it was a low mileage, immaculate example loaded with extras. Another retired gentleman and Masearti Owners Club member had a lovely maroon classic. I was however taken with a beautiful black Gran Turismo which was made all the more prominent by its two digit cherished registration number plate. It sounded awesome and the owner was justly proud. I hope that all the people I spoke with decide to have a look at SMF and introduce themselves.

Adam / Loz. No photographs from me I'm afraid. I did not see or meet anyone from SMF. (Apologies if you were there and I missed you) Promoting the Forum in Maserati circles is an easy activity. SMF has provided me with opportunities to get the very best from my car eg trip to France, reading technical reports, writing about events and annoying Loz. He he he! (the last time I mentioned Milton Keynes he threw a bread roll at me!)

Regards,

Paul

Paul, it appears that I missed you yet again!
I was stood with my car in the air by the garage door when the "2 lettered reg" GT came in.

Got the winter check done, got satnav updates installed and adjusted the bite point on the clutch when cold to stop it being quite as snappy.

It was pretty chilly and I was nursing an unexpected hangover so was only there for an hour or so.

Dan,

Never mind. I am sure our paths will cross another day. Glad the morning was of practical benefit.... Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

Paul

Parisien,

New blood for the organisation is important and is well worth pursuing......... One guy hadn't heard Larini's before..... I think he is now tempted!
