I actually love that it's a ragtop
And correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the Crossfire an SLK underneath...?
Pretty much, I believe

It was. A friend had the convertible version way back…He wasn’t a friend after that. I drove it and it was a truly terrible car.I actually love that it's a ragtop

Well, so was the SLK.It was. A friend had the convertible version way back…He wasn’t a friend after that. I drove it and it was a truly terrible car.
Sounds like I am lucky there is a body of water between us.Well, I hate to see anyone suffer...
Personally I'd take a Vanquish S over a DB11 any day of the week. The quantity of DB11 on Autotrader is immense!
For £65k for a 30k example, I could be tempted but too much of a gamble for anything more.
Does that mean they are rubbish or just sold loads?Personally I'd take a Vanquish S over a DB11 any day of the week.
But you're right, used DB11s are plentiful.
More the latter, I think. And they're not as loved as the better looking, better sounding NA Vanquish.Does that mean they are rubbish or just sold loads?
Living with the folding metal roof on the Cali and issues that causes with packing. At least with a ragtop going away into its separate compartment there is no change in boot space with roof up or down.I actually love that it's a ragtop

It looks good, and the front grill is a big improvement. It should help push down the prices of the Portofino M, which I think is a cracking car.I went along to the Roma Spider reveal at the local dealer last Friday.
First impressions are that it's a lovely car. The rear seats are as usable as those in my California, so not really. The roof mechanism is good but has the same impact on the boot space as the hard roof on the Cali and the Portofino. In fact the chap announcing the car kept talking about putting "Golf balls" in the boot. We all thought it was an Italian misuse of the word and he meant golf clubs. Looking at the boot entrance, he wasn't
It does have a trick wind deflector that automatically deploys from the back of the rear seats and doesn't protrude above the line of the body so won't mess up the lines.
Would I swap the Cali for one? Not sure. The boot space was a surprise and, as I'd be using it for touring, relevant to me. Then there is the iPad like screen which is bad enough in the coupe and would be pretty useless with the roof down on a sunny day. Looking at pricing it starts at the £200k mark but expect to pay £230-250k to get one built and £300k for a fully optioned car. With all that said I still might be tempted when I decide to change the Cali. It really is that pretty.

Different cars.It is nice but, at that price point, I'd rather have the MC20 Cielo all day every day!
That’s the way I’d go. The Roma doesn’t really do it for me, whereas the PortoFino M gives me that nutsack tingle. It looks good, and the front grill is a big improvement. It should help push down the prices of the Portofino M, which I think is a cracking car.
