My car is up for change in April 2017
It's going for it's service tomorrow at JCT600 Leeds

Question is should I sell now, I dont use her much in winter due to salt but obviously were at the end of summer so people probably aren't looking to buy right now or do I keep it until march and sell then?

Will it depreciate more over winter but more likely to sell in spring?

Decisions and thoughts please.

Sell it now if it were me then you are ready for Spring to buy your next one. I'd imagine a GTS is a tough private sell so might be worth considering a specialist like Dicky?

Thanks Phil for your thoughts.

If you don't plan to use it there is no reason not to put it up for sale and see how it goes after all many others may well be holding on to Spring so availability may be reduced.

If it sells then you are ready to react in the Spring when more will be hitting the market, if it doesn't you are no worse off

Personally I would keep it till the spring and sell it then. The reason for this is most look at this time and your purchaser market will be bigger plus with the GranTurismo coming to an end of production earlier in the year, prices nose dived initially but are firming again. With the current Maserati lineup I can only see this getting better.

For sure, if you have a price in mind and you want to try now, you may get lucky but feel you will only attract the bargain hunters with regular purchasers having Xmas on their mind.

I would check with Richard as he may have people looking for something like yours...I also sold my second 4200 with him during the winter.

Remember its still a rare car and if it has the 'spec' someone is looking for it will sell what ever the season.

Sell it if you get a great offer over market rate. Apart from the very new ones, I think these cars will depreciate purely on mileage now, assuming the service history is kept. I bought my GT 4.2 3 yrs ago, covered 5k miles, and it may be worth a little more than I paid for it, to the point where it may cover the servicing and tyres. We may get mild winter and you'll use it?

I would try and private sale now, you are in no rush and might get the right offer.

If it doesn't sell, then try a Dealer or Nuvola/ADG/Richard etc

I don't exactly live in the UK anymore, but my experience with cars is that once you have the bug in your head to sell a car, best let it go and enjoy falling in love with a new one.

That colour too, is superb, and I am sure there are a handful of buyers waiting. Even from here (Chile) I used the pistonheads used car sales website to compare values of different cars I was looking at, and their Maserati selection is very good. Give it a go now on there. Best of luck.

It would be worth listing it on here, as you have a captive audience of member who might be up for your car.

Agree with Pete...Give Dicky a call as he knows the market better than most. I would put up for sale as it if doesn't sell before the spring what have you lost.

Your car is pretty desirable though in that colour and spec....Rare so someone I'm sure will want her.

With the GranTurismo having stopped production and no replacement in sight for 2-4 years you might find waiting will help.
