Guys, looking for an Alfa threw up these guys in Oxford. Any experience of them? Can anyone recommend a good Alfa or Italian biased dealer in south west? Alfanet looks fine but maybe pricey? Will have to temporarily plump for 156 or even 147. Maybe even the 2.4jtd or 1.9 poweplants. I only intend keeping the car for a year max before back into the fold hopefully. Prob looking at 2000-2004 year with moderate miles. Cheers!

Looked at a couple of cars at Alfanet over the years...he has been there for ages and before Alfa he sold Integrale's from there. Wasn't impressed with the quality of a 3200 I looked at there...it has a big crack in the window that he said I could claim on my insurance if I bought the car!!!!!!!! But that was a fair few years ago now. A few friends have had Alfas off him and been happy.

Alfa net is very local to me, and where I got my 4200 from. I have had no problems with my car except a new wiper motor due to 'judder' fixed and replaced by them.

The owner will talk and talk given half a chance, but his stock has been very slow to move. The 3200 he has with just 28k miles has been in the showroom for 2 + years as has most of the 4200's. I guess he may be up for a deal as I think he has only shifted 1 maserati since I bought mine in 2008!

I have not followed his Alfa stock so cant tell if that has been moving any better

Hi Peter,
Do you know if his prices have moved in that time?
Regards,
Enzo.

cheers guys. amazing what you find when you look - have come across an "italian car specialist" on my doorstep I didn't know about so will be handy for Alfa work. Looked at a 156 today. Nice. Drives fine. May buy it if they can resolve a CEL light - ahhh nothing changes with the Italian cars!!

He has kept his prices the same...even the 3200 is at the same price as it was 2 years ago and the most £££ on Auto Trader!

He must have plenty of money behind him as I doubt he would have kept the wolf from the door over the last 2.5 years.

I understand the last 4200 he sold was bought by Paul who organise the Auto Italia, the one before that was mine two years ago! He brought is 03 spyder to Auto Italia last year and still has that one for sale...if you can't shift that mid summer you will never be able to sell it. IMHO his prices are 20-25% to high

I know that they are not exactly in the right area but Veloce in Barnet are brilliant and very fair......I bought my Alfa 3.2 V6 GT from them, had it serviced by them and sold it back to them before buying the Maserati :) They never gave me a moment's grief
