Hi everyone!

WOW....what a great day. And what a great bunch of people!

You were all so friendly and great to meet up with familiar faces (Miles, Adam, Chris) and meet some new....in particular Khamsin (great guy, loved chatting to you and can't wait to see your Italian Citroen ;)), Gixerboy (please thank your other half for providing my missus with your wine!...much appreciated but some beers for the boys would have been a nicer touch :)), Pibbow (surely the only person to travel 1000 miles for a service?) and of course.....Dem - you're a very funny guy and your attempts to avoid the AMG beating all day were in vain...we caught up with you in the end! Oh...and yes, I am slightly taller than you (you must be short...few people are shorter than me ;))! I also reckon if Adam and I had kept pushing for a few more minutes you'd have been an AMG convert..... we definitely nearly had you (everyone else....if he tries to say otherwise, he's lying....Dem's definitely a secret Merc man soon to come out of the closet!). Frank....you were not what I expected (I don't know why but I expected someone bald....which you definitely are not!) but another thoroughly nice chap....great to meet the almost famous Parisien :)

Jeeez....there were so many more of you too but I can't remember you names....sorry!

As Adam said, I reckon those early QP's are real dictators cars and as such would suit me down to the ground....I'd be really tempted to buy one so I could rock up at work in it for a day of...umm....dictating. Business as usual then! New QP's however are definitely Mafia-boss cars .....Gizerboy, you're definitely a mafia-boss kinda guy ;) Enzo...yup, you too....I reckon you've shoved a few dead bodies in the boot of yours!

I can't believe there were soooo many Maserati's and I also loved some of the Alfa's and little Fiats.....but one of my favourite cars was not even Italian. It was the Citroen SM and I'm gutted I didn't have a chance to sit in it (Adam...you have got to learn to appreciate that car....it ain't pretty but it is unique and very special!). Oddly, I had no real interest in the Ferrari's and didn't even bother going over to the red corner to look at them - the Maser's were just so much more unique, varied and 'different' if you get what I mean!

Roll on the next meet :)

Oh....edit....that Qp on 22's. Whether the owner is a lurker or not...it's a FAIL. The front wheels exceeded the width of the arches by a whole inch! What he needs is a nice set of GT-S wheels ;)

Andrew...its amazing what you can buy off ebay.....

Middle-aged mans complete wig with authentic ponytail......one previous owner.....

Yes, you hit the nail on the head...the cars are fab...the guys even better...mix the two together......and you get a wonderful forum of guys and their relative passions!!!!

Always a delight to meet guys who've walked the walk and talked the talk....putting your money where your mouth is and buying a Maser and keeping her through thick and thin.....lot of cliches in there...am going for the forum record of 10 cliches in one post.....;)

Indeed....some super pieces of kit there....but all our Masers and a few other cars provided great variety and rarity.

Good to see your enjoying your wonderful GT with the upgraded suspension.

Lol lol lol.....you're a very funny guy! Also, whenever I read your posts now, I have put on a Irish accent in the back of my head and it's almost like you're in the room with me....it makes that comment in blue particularly funny!

BTW....I like the Irish accent and is not meant to offend!

It might have been the height reducing pyjama's you were wearing that made you look shorter ha ha!

You're over 30 Dem....Merc ownership is but months away ;)

You're at that denial stage ...I know, you're going through a tough time but don't worry, I went through it too and promise you.....you'll get through it one day! :)

Depends on the height of whatever is propping you (or her) up ;)

Its size in other areas that counts, & being a spartan well lets say im alright there hahahaha

My favorite quote from 300...

Statesman: [after the army starts marching in the fields, talking nervously] What shall we do?
Theron: What can we do?
King Leonidas: [sneers] What can you do? Sparta will need sons.

I'll get my coat again...

Hey everybody-

what an overwhelming day! You look forward to something for long enough and when it arrives, it's almost too much!!

I'll say "hello!" now to everyone I drove with but with but didn't get a chance to talk to; that convoy wrong-turn moment on the way in was hilarious!!

Adam; If I'd realised that was you at the bottom of the hill, I'd have pulled in to pick you up!

Facing a six hour trip back and a creeping worry about finding fuel, I had to go when I did (which was too soon); sorry.

Great to meet you briefly Frank; thanks for everything!

People say I've no sense of humour or direction............I thought to myself.........whats the best way to prove them wrong........I know......get 20 Masers U-turning consecutively on a narrow country road............worked a treat........

Aim to please Jim....good that you found some juice on the way home.
