Yesterday was vile. We kept all the curtains closed, which helped keep out some of the heat but it was still 27degs in the bedroom when we went to bed. The thunderstorm and rain were very welcome and took the edge off, but still too much for me. Today is nicer and I shall again be working from home.

Morning all from Dunstable.

Left home a bit earlier than usual after yesterday just in case and had no issues whatsoever and am 90 minutes early for my meeting!

Hello everyone!
It's Friday! Yesterday I was rather impressed that I managed to have my downstairs at 22 degrees when it was 37 outside. I was more pleased that I was in the over-a/c'd office with the window open by my left shoulder to keep it warm!!! My poor godson was teething in the heat in the evening but I was just about able to distract him (whilst still screaming his head off) with balloons and seeing him learn to catch with both hands.
We'll be trying out our new company local this evening. It's a social action project that's a microbrewery. Then off for a friend's birthday curry.
HapPea Friday!

Well I never made it to Hoddesdon or Leicester today, the first job took far longer to get to and do, didn’t leave that till14.50, wasn’t heading north at that time on a Friday!

Another evening helping Alex fettle the VW camper as he is off to do the 500 in the morning, well it will take him two days to get to Scotland let alone start the 500!

It is looking good though, engine won’t fall out and the new exhaust should make the cabin fume free! We also folded up a metal plate to go over the hole cut in the floor over the fuel sender! A bit daft really as they have a bit of a Ferrari habit of catching fire and 6mm of ply is all that was separating the tank from the bed...

A very good morning to all.....Friends around tonight for drinks and a takeaway. Other than that a bit of gardening if the rain keeps off. Have fun.

Morning you lot. Hosting some of my students this evening for BBQ. So up at 0530 for to put the pork in the smoker.

Not the greatest weather but I guess we'll cope by having sunny dispositions :)

Have a great day, all

Morning all, this morning Alex and his lady (plus dog) are off in the camper to do the 500 and the last corner of the UK in the year in a 40 year old air cooled! All the prep done so wishing them the best.

Not sure if I want to MOT the GS this morning but it is due Monday and I had hoped to do the tie rods first and the disks and handbrake.

Have fun all...
