I am please UK border are doing their job and spotted the second attempt. It will take time to iron it all out and this may have been genuine but complaining of having her bags searched, WTF?

I have given up the thought of Le Mans this year. Especially now the June release in the UK is under question, because of the Indian variant and a doubling of cases in a week.
I've a feeling Le Mans will be a non-spectator event again this year. The Indian variant hasn't taken hold in France yet (has it @philw696 ?) when it does, it will slow everything up again. :frusty5:

I hope not, but remain open-minded. It's all very fluid for sure. Second jab tomorrow (local surgery seems to track ahead of the NHS, which is nice), though I'm not sure if being double-tapped will help with travel anyway.

Even if it is behind closed doors, I still hope to get to France for a few days in the sun with the usual motley SM rabble.

They are certainly getting concerned about it that's for sure here but it's all still an unknown really.
My daughter postponed her Wedding last year and I'm not sure might happen this time.
Still a bit of a Cluster Fûck really.

True enough but I'm not sure anyone's ever managed to run a global pandemic in a very slick way before. The playbook isn't very well tried and tested.

Unlike the SM Le Mans trip, which runs slick as a well-oiled machine, like a well-greased whippet, like a fine Swiss watch. etc.
I imagine it is slick after a few days of beer and cheese!

It will go ahead in Aug, Le Frenchies will want our money. They will make it hard work though
