I don't mourn the loss of Bad Enoch. Since I'd barely heard of her, before now.
I suspect that neither Sunak, nor Truss handle pressure well. They're rumoured
to bully subordinates and are screamers. Since the EU is only going to continue
the cold war against the UK. What the country needs is a P.M. who will build
coalitions and consensus at home and abroad, to get things done.
I'm often reminded of the movie, The Candidate, starring Robert Redford.
A story of a son, who reluctantly campaigns for his father's senate seat in
California in the 70's. Everyone's efforts are focused on getting him elected. He wins
and from memory, the movie closes with him deflated and disillusioned at winning,
as he realises he has no clue what comes next. Its an excellent movie that I'd highly
recommend.
On a frivolous note. The press will have a field day with Liz's surname.
TRUS is short for a transrectal ultrasound scan. The exact meaning of which,
I'll leave to your very inventive imaginations.
Not forgetting the comedy favourite, a surgical truss. An extremely unflattering
medical device.

ANOTHER WHINGING BITCHES POLITICS POO-BIN QUESTION

So yesterday, in part of a news broadcast that I caught on Radio 4,
I heard it reported that the French border police (?) were nowhere to
be seen in Dover port.
Coincidently, I also heard chatter about votes and/or debates on HMG's
Northern Ireland Protocol Bill.
Were the two occurrences coincidental or were the French playing silly
buggers yet again? Does anyone know?

Ok so the plan was to:

1. Make some car parks in Kent.
2. Blame the French.

How were they to know that ending freedom of movement would mean that people would be less free to move?

Having done the ferries and tunnel quite a few times since zee old brexit. I can say from my experience that the delay is very much with our neighbours customs staff. They have one speed. SLOW.
I have also done Rotterdam a bit and no such delays on either side.

If some well respected personality led a campaign (supported by sufficient cash from various sources) to prolmote boycotting French products, every time the French act like children. I would support such a non-governmenta campaign whole heartedly.

In a fairly similar vein. If the Spanish continue to make any border incursions around Gibraltar. Never mind at the rate of almost 900 in the year 2020. I would let the SBS have some 'fun' with the vessels making the incursions. Until such times as the Spanish 'get' the message.

Boris would never have gone willingly.
However, it's obvious that he intends to run for PM again. He said so in his Tuesday morning speech.
Next time round he'll have it better sussed.
Back into Number 10 late on Monday. See Liz or by that time Bill on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday in the Commons for a couple of hours. Then off to the Med until Monday night. Delivery delivery delivery will become Delegate delegate delegate.
And we'll all sleep more soundly at night. Knowing that an adult is running the country, in lieu of Boris.
