All our tickets are booked now, so its just a waiting game.

I spoke to David yesterday, we are considering doing a dry run to plan a nice scenic route for the Thursday and Friday....and of course sample the refreshments on route.

Traffic update:

Although it's a few months away yet, just a reminder to those planning to travel via Rouen that there will be serious diversions in place. One of the main bridges is out of action as they are having to completely remove and rebuild one of the spans - taking an estimated 55 weeks.

Rouen is a city I always try to avoid, but not easy.......its a huge industrial port too, large parts of it typically unpleasant....plus its directly across the mouth of the Seine estuary from my fav northern France village of Honfleur...

If they are striking, best avoid the ports too because the first thing the CESMs do, whatever the strike is about, is blockade the f*ckers.

Im back..they finally let me out to the real world..

Did i see right somewhere that someone is going over on the Friday ferry as i will be driving from Le Touquet Friday AM so good to meet up?

Also im getting a very early tunnel on the Thursday so does anyone know a decent B&B or hotel with secure parking or nice and private drive locally to folkestone- dont fancy the premier inn as ill be in the fezzer?

Because of our son's schooling, we'll be heading in from Caen on the Saturday morning. We dock @ 7am. Any tips for the trip into town on race day? We're staying with family friends who live in Le Mans.
