You need one Hi-VIS vest for each occupant.....warning triangle too.......plus as mentioned on a thread I started, do check recovery of your Maser if you don't have a spare...they can play silly BU*GGERS on this point
Here are some pics from 2012 to get you all in the mood:
L-R Martyn (my dopey kid brother deciding wether smoking or peeing should happen first), Dan (with hand in pocket) Tom (his face is not that bad) Brenan (Darth Daddy...you had to be there) Rosie (Dave, my copilot) Ken (the scruffy Major of Woking) Me (hiding behind Ken, I recognise my sandals)
Dan, hands in pockets...
Oh Dan, and again...
Dan with hands in pockets....are you getting the theme here?
Dan, single handed!!!!
Is that Dan down there with his hands in his pockets???
For anyone going through the tunnel, you may have received a mail offering discount on the Sanef toll tag. You can get the 10 euro setup charge off with your booking number.
I was planning on doing this as driving down alone and can't be rsed to reach over all the time. I will be now 'speeding' my way through the tag lane.
Would highly recommend getting one of these sanef tags if you're doing motorways at peak times...the queues can be hectic & these allow you to sneak down the left hand side & through very quickly. Still waiting for my May bill to come through & not looking forward to it!
Gaz,
You do have to slow down a bit, otherwise the sensors will not see the tag..!! I tried it and nearly hit the barrier..!! They do save a load of time though, well worth it.
Cheers

I was thinking of a Spyder on the cheap. Now I just need to calculate the terminal velocity required for a clean cut. Any mathematicians out there that can assist?

3 weeks Wednesday till the off, and we now have MAF and his co pilot joining us a day early.
Instead of meeting us in Pontvillain, he will meet us at the first hotel in Montreuil Sur Mer on the Thursday morning so we will be a full compliment for the rest of the trip.
Apparently, MAF will be supplying the Skittle Bombs, but I will be introducing him to Vodka Caramels too, so Thursday looks like its set for a messy evening.
