I object!
I thought we we'd gone metric, or did Brexit reverse that?
Absolutely stunning... what did you use to clean the interior leather, and the plastic engine shroud? So, more on my QP....
This weekend has been about ceramic coating and tackling the interior. The leather is now as decent as it can be, carpets washed and so on. Still have sticky bottons to deal with, I tried the Isopopyl but it didn't do much really. I think i'm going to live with it as it's not too bad and taking out all the buttons, vents and panels that need doing, and paying for those, would be an epic mission for not much reward.
I used a Meguiar's quick ceramic coat which I really like. You wash well then just spray it on and dry with microfibres. It's not the full job that a pro detailer would do but for home use, it's well worth it. I've even properly cleaned and coated the door shuts and frames etc.
I'm now struggling to find jobs to do, which is worrying as I might get bored and socialise and get a life. And where is the fun in that?

I've even progressed to geek level = professional by painting bolt heads with Humbrol enamel paint. I really must get a life.

She looks well with her stable mate.

The danger now is that she is too nice to be a daily.....
Back soon when i've dreamed up something else to do! I have PPF film for the rear to protect from stone chips but i'm waiting for another week or two to ensure the fresh paint has fully cured. That's probably too boring a thing to post but I might anyway so you have been warned.
You KNOW the car is in good nick when the ultra-fragile corners of the rear seat centre console are NOT barked. Very nice car!So, more on my QP....

A thing of beauty. What effect does the ceramic have compared to a pro job?

So good to see the car back to perfect. Great work buddy….Colour not for me but then it’s not mine so enjoy.

Well, it's kind of an easy to apply at home version that you spray onto a wet panel and dry, whereas pro ceramic is applied in a thin layer to a dry, clean surface. The pro one should last a couple of years, mine lasts for 3 months and is topped up with each wash. It was also cheap compared to a pro detailer. I've used it for a while and it gets good beading and offers better protection than a normal wax might.
It's this one...also good reviews and "how to" videos about it on YouTube.
