I mean this nicely...but this post is like a poor episode of Wheeler Dealers.......with no Mike Brewer! Anyway love what's been done and the paint job looks great - dare I ask what is the ball park for that respray?

My car could benefit from a similar paint refresh....

£1200 to paint about two thirds of the car. It's a good job but not designed to win a concourse.

I would say that's Good value and she certainly looks Stunning in the pictures.
Wish I could find a 5/6K QPV over here but you need at least 20K and bringing one over from the UK just too painful now.

Same here a UK car is fraught with issues unless its over 30 years old, even then there is 5% VAT on current value plus €200 VRT.

Here in France your looking at 10% Duty
20% VAT on top of what they value the car at not what you paid for it so just not doable like when I brought the Porsche over in 2019.
Then you have the initial cost of the Carte Gris to pay.

Where does the duty come from? There is surely no import duty between the UK and France under the trade agreement, non?

And if France is using any value for import VAT other than what you paid then that is illegal under the EU VAT Directive, and just another example of France doing what suits France rather than playing by the EU rules.

The tangents are classics here, part of the SM culture and for one love them/am to blame for most of them….

Anyone see the cricket tonight?
Hey, I'm the newcomer here... so far be it for me to want to try to change the culture or the style here. However, generally religion and/or politics, surely, would be prudent to avoid, n'est pas?

We do serious issues too like the Northern Ireland problem, Wagners theory on plate tectonics and what happens if you just eat crisps.

Seriously tho SM thread drift is legendary usually starts when a thread has ran out of steam (sorry OP) but I think the record is 5 posts from serious question to comments about penises…

The mods are A1 here generally only clamp down on threats of violence or if a member gets murdered and that’s not happened for nearly a year.
