Still not sold on this car, it just does not do anything for me, it looks out of proportion and i am not a fan of the technology, just too complicated.

One good positive feature of the 458 is its drivability , if Clarkson can make it drift like that , think what an average driver can do ,

it is overpriced, 170K for an entry level Ferrari, the Scuderia version will be 190 then the 458 replacement probably 200K, too expensive for an entry level Ferrari.

Adam, Isn't the California the entry level Ferrari?

I thought it was over priced until I say the road test on top gear...Seeing it as the replacement for the 430 is missing the point. This si the start of something different....a car that was just about as quick as the Enzo around the track makes it's a bit of a bargain against the 1 million price to get a Enzo...I was mighty impressed with what they have a achieved..

no this is supposed to be, look at the previous cars, 308,328, 348, 355, 360 and F430 were all entry level Ferrari's as far as i am aware he entry level Ferrari is a 2 seater and goes like stink and is supposed to be the least expensive in the range.

adam you cant look at ferrari as entry level or not, would you not have a scuderia? that was an entry level making of the f430 or an f355, they are not ford, their cars are all desirable and the more expensive cars in the range come as a result of maybe more seats or bigger engine but still if you you tube it you will see this 458 is quicker than the 599 round a track so you cant call it bottom of range

no i know, i am not saying they should be cheap but what i cant believe is that the 360 was 101K when it first arrived, the 458 is 70K more, and yeah the 458 is bound to be quicker than a 599, the 599 weighs about the same as your house, whereas the 458 is as light as linguine

One of the nicest looking ferraris in a long time! (Excluding the 612 ofcourse!!!)

excluding the 612, just had to get up off the floor as i fell off my chair, 612=ugly, even with the challenge style wheels it does nothing for me.
