At Loz's request...
I will attempt to keep a running report here of my experience attempting to put a beautiful 550 back on the road.
Rather than uploading lots of pics direct into this thread, I thought I would add just one or two from time to time,
and post a link to an album so those that want to see more can do so.
I will add some text to each photo (which you can view by clicking the icon), as soon as I have some time.

Basic Details:
Florence is a 550 Maranello
Born October 2000
Her exterior is Blu Tour De France
with a crema interior and dark blue piping and carpets.
She has the leather rear parcel shelf and the Fiorano handling pack.

Here she is arriving home:

Here is another,
Spot the odd wheel? yes, that's from Loz's 4200:

You can view the rest of week 1 photos here:

We took Dom's mini out today...gave it a little run, then put it back in it's box :)
he is now blocked in by Emma (QP).
Yes, Florence had a little clean today, and has been tucked away for the week.

Thanks for posting the details and photo's Enzo. Am I right to think there's no structural damage? I could only see the obvious damage on the passenger side. You mention more? Hope you enjoy the process of bringing her back into fine fettle and I'll look forward to the next installment.

The only structural damage I can see is to the lower lever on the rear, and upper and lower levers on the front.
The 'other' damage I mentioned, are just minor scratches here and there also on the offside, I think most of which will polish out,
there are a couple of slightly deeper scratches which I will also get attended. Having washed her today, I found all the cosmetic faults :)
I forgot to take a pic of the damaged rear rim (which, BTW, I will turn into a wall clock)...so look out for that next week!

Enzo,

Looks like the best way to spend long winter nights, rather than stuck to the box whatching repeats on Dave!

Does the front have a Space Fame?...or is it just my poor understanding or construction and my bad eyes!

So we just need Loz to get his red one and I have even seen a 600 series on E-Bay at £16k, shame its part done as it would have been even less and I have no idea how bad it was prior to first fix.

Yeah, it was Jason who suggested it...think it is a great idea,
will take me a little while to turn it into a clock, but when done it will be in Florence's garage. :)

Enz, are you going to get a prancing pony flag and some old Grand Prix Pics from the 50's to hang on your wall.

Not at this stage Adam, just the clock :)
you havn't seen the state of the so-called garages...if I bang in too many nails the whole thing is likely to collapse...heheheheh

Ah, yes of course, but great that the damage hasn't encroached any further.

IWC for Ferrari?........ :)

The chassis is tubular steel frame Peter,
What you can see in the pic, is the frame that the wing bolts on to...
this is a little damaged as can be seen, but I think easily repairable.
Regards,
Enzo.

A few other parts are also broken...
things like the steering knuckle( where the track rod bolts on to the wheel hub), the track rod itself, the inner wing...
but the steering rack is good.

Oh, I wish...but sadly no.
