Took a GT in as px for the Boxster I had, it's lovely but would like to free up some funds for a couple of Maseratis I'm after. Anyone interested, it'll have a once over before I sold it to anyone, but it's in great nick, black, top spec, suede seats, climate, twin exhaust. It's a 57 plate and I'll take £6k, £6.5k with service and a warranty. Stupidly cheap for a quick sale. I'll put pics up on Friday, if it's not gone by then. We rob any car is £5700 and auction price is £6000 so it's a steal and with the added security of knowing I will have it checked and if required, serviced and wouldn't sell anything less than spot on to anyone, let alone on here!

Have been looking for a while for my Son as his first car. He wanted leather really, but depending on miles, other spec and condition, may be interested. Am looking at another tomorrow.

Any more info, Dicky?

What else would you like. The seats are black suede and very nice, I was surprised when I drove it first, sports seats are figure-hugging and like new. It's got climate & twin exhaust (lusso spec). It's done 48000 miles, 2 owners and is the later car with trim across the bumper etc. It needs one minor wheel refurb and other than that very clean indeed. Pretty much identical to the one on the link below, but mine's only done 48000:

Let me know if it's of interest as it'll go quickly I think.

Dicky, MaserSod/Pat is after a run around too, he's not convinced with the diesel thing, but it would be ideal for him.

Matt, it came up in another thread which was why I asked you about it. I've mentioned it so see what he says. Petrol 2.2JTS are poor engines so unless he wants a 3.2V6 then a diesel it is.

I have to agree that the diesel is the one to have, even though it sounds like a tractor. The petrol 2L was gutless and the 3.2 was good but thirsty and [depending on the year] in the higher tax bracket.
[Yes - I've owned them all!]

Will be 17 soon. I figure, as I know what he's like, (well, I like to think I do) that if he's driving something he's not only proud of, but also feels he really needs to look after, then he will not only look after it, but, as a result, will be looking after himself.

If he has a junky little run around, he'll drive like a looper, just like I did. Am lucky to be alive on reflection!

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it

... also, I'll be sharing it with him as an economical run around, and don't want to drive anything less...

;)

That's **** fine value!!! I agree the JTD is good, but not without faults, swirl flap ball joints snapping off anyone? "they all do that sir....that'll be £700".

Enjoyed my 159 but I do know a bit more about JTD's than I wanted to as a result!!

How much is the insurance if you dont mind me saying?

Got a quote with current insurers for a 1.4 diesel polo for comparison with him as a named driver, the GT 1.9 was only about £300 a year more. That was without shopping around. I can live with that, as I don't want to drive a polo, or similar

He is. His choice though. He does work very hard and is very contentious when doing so. (Works for me at weekends) He applies himself at school, has made prefect and house captain, rugby captain, and just got pretty much straight A's in his mocks, so hard work should be rewarded, I believe
