At the briefing they said that anyone who's a bit slow will get asked to stop and let others past. No shame etc. I had a chat with the F40 driver - he wasn't the owner so I guess he was taking it steady. Iirc it had DK plates on.

Just listen at 3.25 (bottom video), there goes that electric 4200 again. It never fails to surprise me just how sh!t standard 4200s sound whereas the GTSs sound great.

Yep they really are terrible. That's why I didn't really bother driving mine 'til the pipes were done.

There is more road roar than exhaust noise, it almost sounds like compressed air escaping. There has to be a happy medium but sorry, that's not it and it doesn't do the car any favours.

Hilts is on here, the car is mint and his choice not to mod the car!

I agree though all these cars needs mods including the GT.

I agree with both POV's. His car, his choice. I think they need more noise too, but it's a matter of subjective view.

Not very subtle Benny :battered:

My car has stock GS exhaust and it was in sport mode - it is what it is. Sounds fine in the car and close up, but I agree there is no projection of sound at all which I was a bit surprised and disappointed by, but there you go that's how they left the factory.

IMHO it doesn't make it a bad or undesirable car. At Autoitalia I had a lot of interest from 3200 and 4200 owners asking what it was as most had never seen an MCV or knew they existed.

So it may not be the loudest or sportiest sounding car on here, but it's in mint condition, has detailed paint, a great interior and nice seats, so it gets attention in other ways!

Oh it has a little Italian flag on the side as well

I couldn't agree more hilts and I'm sorry if I've offended. However, such a special car deserves to sound special and the standard sound is, IMO, far too emasculated. I appreciate that not everybody wants ear-bleeding sound levels but, again IMO, an Italian sports car shouldn't sound like a ford Mondeo.
