They do whisper, though. Trouble is, when you embark down that road you start to unleash demons (and decibels). I now have a hankering for sports cats, for which I blame Morebeans. Hilts may be wise to stay on the path of righteousness.

Adam, is yours the white GTS? It sounded particularly fruity. Saw this car around but not the driver.

Check out the video from 3.10 to 3.35. Pretty easy to see the 2 cars which have not been modified, there is a massive difference. The last car is almost as quiet as mine - Is it a GT-S or GT? I assume the one just behind me has full Larini's as well?
To be honest I love the sound of Larini on the track but not sure I could live with it every day. morebeans' car is amazing and the sound on the video is better than the 458's in my view.
Its given me something to think about!

No, that one belongs to Morebeans (although he is Adam as well). It has Larini sports cats and x-pipe. Sounds great, doesn't it?

I love the enhanced sound of Adam's (AdamN) car, then upon hearing Adam's (Morebeans) car I love the sound more. It's clear I'm a major advocate of unleashing the noise these cars should have - having a completely standard GranSport alongside my favourite ASBO version in yellow, it's hard to believe they're the same car aurally.
i respect the opinions and preferences of those owners wishing to keep their cars standard or not wanting them to emit any more noise, but have noticed over the last year or so in particular that more are joining us on the dark side as they have experienced the many options available to make these cars sound more like they should.

Adam - you could get a great sound from your car by changing the x-pipe and having your stock GS boxes modified. Cost is very sensible and sound is almost as standard when you want it and much more musical when not. Speak to Benny on here to discuss options and pricing. You know you want to!!

Unfortunately as I have the sport button pressed all of the time, and my wife already thinks it is verging on too loud, any talk of x pipes etc. have been ruled out. Standard MCShift GTS is pretty fruity as it is, especially the big pop you get if you time a second gear downshift right . X pipe and sport Cats would still be nice though......

I didn't get to hear yours Phil. And I'm not even taking the p!ss, I really didn't! Could have been because some bloody hooligan in a banana was trying to trigger an earth tremor. Will you be at the Ace?

She won't notice the x-pipe. Well, perhaps. Not if she's far away when you start it. And once she's got used to thinking that's how it must always have sounded you can move on to the sports cats.
