I went last year (weather was absolutely awful, really cold and miserable, so hoping for better this year). No SM presence at all. Parking for Italian cars is by marque: if you enter at the Campbell Gate (and are there early enough) you'll be directed to Maserati parking – last year it was nicely placed just outside the clubhouse enclosure. Last year there were about 20-30 Masers. I'm planning to go again this year, if the forecast looks reasonable.

Last year had all the makings of a good day... if only if it hadn't rained so torrentially the entire time! Good turnout and I got the sense it would have been far better if the sun had made an appearance. I may pootle up this year, but like Norman it will be weather dependent and probably a last-minute decision.

Yes, I shall be going along with the family this year. I missed last year's downpour. But we really enjoyed the event in 2011.

Actually it was the one in the Midlands I got drenched at last year. Didn't make Brooklands. Looks like you all recommend it?

Be warned that you could be blocked in. So, if you need to get away early make sure you've got a way out or know the person whos car is blocking you in.

True. It would be helpful if anyone blocking another person in would display their mobile number on their windscreen. Maybe SMers could take the lead and be courteous!

Stanford Hall event has been moved from June to July.

It's now a classics event but still incorporating the Maserati Club concours as before.
Not so fussy about going this year.

Nothing could top 2011 when Frank led a 20 car Maserati convoy up a cul-de-sac!

Details here:

Hi Dave, the club concourse has moved this year and so not at Stanford Hall. It'll dig out the latest magazine when I get home.

This abbreviated from the club newsletter...

Maserati Club AGM and Concours 2013.

Sunday 9th June, Prescott Hillclimb.

It will, as previous, be sponsored by Graypaul, but this time at the Prescott Estate sharing the event with the E-Type register.

There will be the opportunity to drive the hill climb. 5 runs for £30 with an extra £5 for a passenger.

Parking will be £20.00 per car.

Never been to Prescott, so I quite fancy going along.

OK Miles

Just reread the link I posted. It's the Auto Italia concours that's at Stanford. Not the club.

Prescott sounds great but I'm on holiday on June 9th.

Maybe next year!!

Thanks for the heads up on the Maserati Club event. Prescott is a great venue, I can recommend it - VSCC event and the Vie en Bleu weekend are the main meetings I always go to. With the E Types there as well as Maserati it should be a good day out.
