Well, the sun's finally come out in this corner of East Anglia - fingers crossed the weather forecats are all wrong and we can at least stay dry tomorrow!

Last of Maserati club involvement or Auto Italia day at that venue?

P

P you are right to point out that two separate things are being discussed. It says on the Maserati Club site that it’s the last year of the Maserati Club's Graypaul Maserati Club Concours d'Elegance with Bill Jackson as organiser, and they haven’t it seems yet found a replacement for him, hence it might be the last Concours. But that Concours is only part of the Auto Italia meeting – separate organisation – which I assume will continue next year. Unless of course they lose a lot of money on it due to this years possible (likely?) poor attendance due to the weather….They haven't had much luck, the Brooklands one was like a visit to Antarctica.

The weather hasn't been helpful for Stanford over the past few years and partly due to this, but also other separate events that clash, the Ferrari and Lamborghini attendance has been getting less and less. For the club I think they would continue to attend and to hold the concours were it not for Bill Jackson's retirement, but financially it's supported by Graypaul, who must be finding it more difficult to justify given the reducing attendance of prospective purchasers. Bit of a vicious circle I suspect. It'll be interesting to see what next year brings.

Breakfast is confirmed for as close to 8.30am as you can. You'll be on two tables in the lounge, as last year. I've told them 10 to 12 diners to leave a little bit of wriggle room.

See you at Stanford and may Apollo, Ra and Helios shake a leg and sort us out with some decent weather.

MCV all ship shape Miles?

Words cannot describe what Matt has done Dave. Completely delighted with it. The guy had cotton buds on the inside of the hex nuts!!! and he's even detailed my car key. Proper dude. Hope his efforts are rewarded........

More than likely unless its p1ssing down; Italian electrics don't play well with water!
