Sounds like a plan, Newton. Chris, how's that for you? Bit of a dog leg from your neck of the woods but the makings of a small convoy.

Ah yes... sorry for the confusion. I was talking to Chris B - Mountfitchet services would be a dog-leg from Hampstead.

Can I put my name down. Would be a great opportunity to get introduced to the fraternity. Are there any further details of the event I can brief myself with, thanks in advance......Dan :)

Bit barbaric, isn't it? We'll be waking up some of the dopier birds, for sure! I'm half-tempted to stop over at one of the Stansted hotels to give me an extra hour in bed. But an airport hotel on a Friday night..? Maybe not. Perhaps I'll just wake the neighbours.

just spent my lunch time reading this and sounds awesome - want to go the more I read and would also be great to meet you all - but only been on the track in the S4 at Castle Combe and cooked the brakes and tyre not great after, with the Mas this will be expensive so little worried about wear.

Hi Enzo. As I understand it - and AndyK plus those who went last year should correct if I'm wrong - you can drive as much or as little as you like. No obligation to be a superfast ace racing driver (which is lucky in my case...). So wear should be limited to what you're comfortable with, mindful that everything will take a bit more of a pounding than they would on even a spirited A or B-road blat.

Correct Adam.

Although last year there were only 7-8 of us (and I had to leave just after lunch) and the Masser section was very popular. Over 1 hour queues if not longer during the afternoon.

With a bigger SM turnout it should be more manageable and of course in the end its up to you how much or little you want to do.

Great event.
