That's the second one I have seen, the other was a TDF blue (IIRC). I know they are designed with a robotic manual in mind and the changes are faster, hands stay on the wheel etc, but I would still rather have a 'stick-shift' any time for a road car. Track or race, sure that paddles are the way to go but the clutch and the stick just add to the thrill of driving for me.

Pretty sure you can't spec a 458 or 599 with a manua, though you can with a 612.. I think?. This will be the last EVER manual shift Ferrari, interesting prospect and a bit like my DB9 Volante with manual only even rarer. Hen's teeth...

Old school Lewis and why not if it floats your boat...but when you think of how far F1 shifts have come in last 10 yrs almost unrecognisable now.........no shunting ( Just for JC...;).....ultra quick.....so power lost to drive wheels almost zero.......can assume clutch wear better also?

My mate Adam, who just sold his GTS and went back to a 430 Spyder, hated the California. He said it was not a patch on the 430 and its had a very cheap and tinny feel to it.

Just because it has a Ferrari badge on it, does not necessarily make it any good.

Not sure you can have a 458 with a manual or a 599, would liked to be proved wrong, 612 however you can although it was only available on the 04/05 cars, there are only 7 04 612 Scaglietti's with a manual shift.

not sure silver was ever a good Ferrari colour and not sure they got this one right as the replacement for one of the best Ferraris 250 GT California. I've been in a few new ones and agree some do seem tinny but the Italla is one of the great looking cars since the F355

on the other hand not sure about the colour but its a Ferrari and I like it
