Nah not a Spyder, i dont like them with the roof up, if you want a convertible, then get the GTS, but i would have a Tour De France Blue GTB manual with the cream carbon seats and capristo stage 3 exhaust,

Well, went along and had a look at the 612 - Its immaculate and service stamps all accounted for plus had just come out of a 6k mile service which was done due to time rather than mileage (it hadn't reached the 6k mark yet). Leather in very good condition given mileage and can seat 4 - I tried sitting in the rear with the seat adjusted to my position (Im 6ft) and all was not to bad at all - I noted that the back of the front seats have been cut out slightly to give you that little bit of extra legroom an Idea that I like and wonder if it could be somehow applied to the 3200 et al.
To the driving - its an F1A setup so you can put it in auto and not use the paddles or you could intervene if you glide your way onto a fun road. Acceleration is predictably very swift though I found that you need a bit of pressure on the gas to apply the power as compared to the smoother and lighter feeling of the 3200 throttle pedal, the 612 held the road very well but couldn't do a conclusive test due to where the car was for sale so it was motorway and city driving only. It was quite something being ensconced in the 612 with all its leather ad fittings ideal for long distance and given how well the seats hold you and how they are made you could easily do several hundred miles and be very comfortable indeed.

nice car if you had the money shudder to think what V12 servicing would be like

the 612 will be a desirvable car and perfect 4 seater once they become cheaper
they expensive now and still new enough to go to ferrari for servicing...
when they get older indys will be able to service them with no difference to resale as they will have dropped

dem, the indy i worked at, there was 4 612's that regularly came in, one was a 54 plate had 55k on the clock, the owner had had it from new and said it was a brilliant car, he swapped a 575 for it. He said the servicing was quite expensive at a dealer but at an indy, he said the costs were much cheaper due to the labour charge of 55 pounds an hour compared to graypaul charging 135 an hour. I think the ferrari warranty only lasts 2 years so after that, he started taking his car to an indy.

Some people call it ugly but I have never thought so. For ugly just look at the California - very strange bit of design IMHO

Horses for courses, boring world if we all liked the same thing :)

I just think it has a large ar*e, the grooves in the side make no sense and the "smile" at the front just looks odd. It is a bit like some of the new Mercedes where the designers have added in bumps and grooves for no good reason, other than effect. To me the best looking cars are those with the purest, simplest, design.

The 458 is a lot better though still not sure about those headlights.

That is what I like about the Coupe so much, it is a really classical design with hints of Ferrari 275 etc about it. Nothing needlessly fussy or fancy going on.
