This will be perfect condition as its having a respray but one its too much and two why would a 52 plate need full respray..Has it not been looked after?

yeah, spose it is worth buying a non cup version and then modifiying it a bit, when you thinking of buying.

i think i prefer the 156.

The 3.2 V6 is tempting and is a better long term Alfa bet as getting rare...Would have a MRK 3 GTV with the 3.2 but don't like the front...Just not as pretty as the MRK1 and 2.

although in a few years, GTV's will start to get rarer, cant remember the last time i saw a GTV on the road.

The GTV will take longer..They are still dropping in price. There are some goods ones that are priced high but have been for sale for an age and there are a lot not selling....They are at that middle stage where they are old enough to have lots of problems and fixes are not cheap.....Prices are also all over the place. One specialist dealer is charging loads for them and yes well sorted ones do command more money but he has that red one with black wheels, engine rebuild with 13k on the clock after rebuild...but before that it had 123k on the clock...Lots of upgrades but wants 7500 and its a 1999 car...See below

Thats what I said to him.....He wanted 8k with the black wheels but said he would take 7500......Having a laught. Even with upgrades 6k is pushing it.

some people just try and rip people off to bad, i think he is hoping that someone who wants to buy it knows nothing about them but a lot of buyers will do their homework so his loss really.

I think he is a respected dealer..He posts on AO...Think he is trying push prices up on the back of it becoming a classic and that good ones are hard to find..Can not balme heim for trying and he does sell a few GTV's but if you notice the wheels and stuff he charges extra for so the price you see gets higher.

why? that would be horrid and would just put the asking price up even more, then it would never sell unless some raving lunatic bought it.

He does seem to know these cars to be honest...I'm sure Ghostly will know more about him than me. He was helpful when I spoke to him about the black one but the price still seem high..I suppose if you wanted to do all the bits to the car it would cost you around that sort of money but you just dont' get your money back on mods which is why I struggling with the price but I do like it.

yeah you dont want to splash out too much and not get your money back just a waste. what mods you going to do to it if you get one.
