Safrane, thank you for that. It was fascinating to see a modern car being hand-built the old fashioned way. It's great that those skills still exist, although I fear they are slowly dying out.
Incidentally, if I recall correctly, Clarkson complimented the Disco by saying that it felt solid enough to have been mass-produced.

truly beautiful car and lovingly made.....The only bit that I don't like that the wheel are to far under the arches but I get that's how they used to be years ago and they are going for a retro look.

Can't say I like it Andy - it was at the Geneva motor show and to me looked hideous in the flesh. Beautifully made, yes, but a nasty design.

Really, suppose when you get up close and see these cars off the pages of magazines and internet pictures they can look very different.

Oh yes, no question. Works both ways too - cars I've thought looked dreadful in photos turned out to be stunning when seen for real.

Italian for flying saucer, or direct translation saucer (Disco) Flying (Volante)
