Out of interest, how the F are you gonna run a new Europeansuper league when you can barely travel beyond your garden walls - for the foreseeable future.
I think 28 days of compulsory quarantine at the lack of “Comfort Inn” should be immediately introduced for all professional footballers that wish to travel abroad.

Ought to end the project fairly rapidly.

Makes it easy for a British team to win it. ;)

Seriously though I’d put money on Euros being in the UK. They’ll prove they can run football and get them hosted here in June as the only country that can safely have spectators (UK residents) it’ll really screw up my work for the summer

They will be leaving the Premier League, the football league, the Champions league. Everything.

Just to line their own pockets.
Ah understood. I thought they were continuing in the domestic leagues and leaving the Champions League only. I understand the upset more now

No they WANT to stay in their domestic leagues AND play in this closed shop in midweek but they wont be allowed to do that. The issue is they would earn so much guaranteed money if it happened it would skew the domestic leagues even more than they are now.

Won't happen and some compromise will have to be reached.

Not sure what the Tynecastle mob have got to do with it Wattie :D

I think we're missing the point here, spurs aren't big and arsenal are fading both haven't won anything recently and why not Leicester City? They've won the league more recently than three of the big 6.
This whole thing stinks if rich yanks, Russians and Arabs killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

Membership of FCUM and other fan based teams will increase

Seems there is confusion out there then. I didn't see any announcement they would be leaving their domestic leagues, assuming they aren't thrown out. Whilst it may not be a popular view, I don't have an issue with it and I think it is fairly inevitable when clubs become a Plc or state owned.

The EPL are saying this since it's in their contract agreement with the clubs that they cannot participate in any other leagues.

Premier League rules state you cannot play in any other competition other than theirs and UEFA and FIFA sanctioned competitions (Champions League/World Club Championship).
Therefore they will be expelled.

Sooner the better, today if possible. Then my beloved Bolton Wanderers will be sure of promotion to League Division Three (League Two in new money). We could do with all the help there is!

That's football, 10 years ago Premier League, UEFA Cup, now, the **** end of the league on our uppers, nearly going bust.....

Anyone have dealings with JP Morgan? They're the **** spúnking up the front money. If you love football, close all your association with them including pension s, private banking, share dealing etc.

Yep it seems to be them. My nephew works for them down in London. Might tell him to jack his highly lucrative job in lol. Then again he’s a Man Utd fan.

I think it's hilarious. Football has been about the money primarily for years. Sam Allarardyce is a case in point.
I found the irony of FIFA preaching on greed hilarious.

More specifically I heard someone refer to 'legacy' fans. Seems about right. I imagine that the fan base in the UK for Man U (as an example) is probably accountable for single digit percentages of the overall profit.

Not sure that’s true as the ‘Top 6’ eg Man Utd take over £5million per home game in ticket sales. Roughly 20% odd of their total revenue.

You're right. It's more than I expected:

2020 it was about 16%

I stand corrected. I wonder what percentage of their profit that accounts for. Any idea?

The Tories have only got involved because the profits of the big 6 would go out of the country through some tax dodge.

Spurs - big 6 , laughable

It’s quite amusing watching Neville and carragher laying into the proposals of the money men. They didn’t complain getting their personal millions on the back of big money coming into the English game.

Where did they think it was going to end up? Don’t take the outrageous wages and then complain about the state of the game. These owners are all about the money, always have been. This kind of thing was bound to happen in the end, it’s tragic for football, but these owners just see it as any buisness. Fans are irrelevant to them, as is the concept of having to earn your status every year.
