Speedy recovery Dave.
We had a site foreman at my old company who failed to turn the steering wheel, and went straight on at a bend straight into a tree.
This was a Sunday morning and he didn't report the crash until 3 hours later.
He just left the company car embedded in the tree, and got a work mate to pick him up and take him to site where he was working that day. The cars **** end was left sticking out into the road.
Blatantly obvious he was still drunk from the Saturday night, hence not reporting it for 3 hours and leaving the car.
Police not interested as no one else involved, and too long after the accident to do a test on him.
I had to interview him about the crash.
Claimed he couldn't remember what happened, but he could hear a voice inside the car immediately after the crash. That turned out to be from a Vauxhall call centre, from the built in SOS system, but they didn't respond as he said he was okay!
Asked why it took him 3 hours to report the crash... He didn't want to disturb anyone too early on a Sunday morning.
I'm surprised he didn't kill himself, a perfect V in the front of the car, and no skid marks.

There's no truth in that what so ever mate..:D but I did buy this and don't laugh.. Its the only early Mk1 Fiat Panda 45 on the road in the UK!

Two weeks before it all kicked off View attachment 91051at Gaydon/Mitcar

Dave
That's a cool little car mate.
Seen a few of the Puch 4x4 ones over here still going well.
I bought Ms French a 500 Twinair 105 bhp model and what a hoot that is not yet got more than 45 mpg but no complaints as it's so much fun.

I had a Panda 45 E plate for 2 years. Sold my Alfa 33P4 to go towards out first house deposit and bought it at auction for £400.
Ragged the nuts off it and sold it on for £400!
Only car I could drive changing gear without using the clutch, once moving of course!

Just heard from the police the vehicle involved was fully legal... does make you wonder why the driver didn't stop
Apparently the car has now been impounded for forensic tests, the police had already taken all my clothes, shoes etc while I was still in hospital

Dave
Drunk or drugs then , people who run legal cars aren't the type to drive away , you'd think

Hi Guys

If you wondered where I'd been for the last few weeks..

I was hit by a car that didn't stop on August bank holiday Monday whilst walking through the village to get a paper!
Hospital for15 days in Coventry, multiple rib fractures, lung damage, ankle was snapped and a big hit to my knee and shoulder... struggling to breath at the moment but feel better than two week ago

They managed to trace the driver last week

Best, Dave
when i was 16 years old walking home from the flicks with my mates a pissd up driver hit my one of my mates his head went through the screen and he was hanging of the A post by his neck the driver keeps going till he got to a bend then my mate fell off
half his head was gone and he was still trying to speak he passed away in 5mins they traced the driver at 6am the next day he got a 6 month ban and a small fine
I hope they lock the basderd up mate that will never go away

You'd think that 'celebs' would set an example but sadly not. Katie Price crashed her car whilst Drug driving, uninsured and disqualified.

Magistrates said that they normally imprison persons who drive whilst disqualified. If she gets off then there's truly no justice.

So sorry to read what happened to you Dave. Hope you're better soonest.
What I want to know is. Who was the driver? Where does he live?
When are we going round to re-educate the ******?
I'm envisioning something like the torture scene in Reservoir Dogs :p
But you probably want something more hardcore.
Involving electricity, a tool kit, petrol, a nail gun, a water board and ferrets.
Just to be going on with. Until we've had time to recall some really fun stuff.

I see it's reported that she was positive for cocaine too but as she accepted the drink driving they are not charging her with that as she's going through a bad time.
You can't make it up really.

Yes the poor celebrity who had it all...she's not on the front cover of Hello anymore let alone the centrefold of a jazz mag...
