An excellent morning. The Gran Turismo S drive was excellent. Although the test drive was hindered by the fact that we didn't go on a busy North CIrc, the circuit chosen was enough to give me a teasing taste of the car.

She is just as planted and assured as I expected and the power is smoothly delivered. Gear change is a world away from my 4200's and on a long, fast, sweeping right hander, she crouched down and barely noticed the g-forces.

A great car.

I met Pauil L with his 3200 all stickered up for Le Mans too.

I also took the opportunity of a free check up while I was there.

Oh and these three were just hanging around.

Finally, this was being fettled in readiness for some lucky owner.

A big thanks to all at HR Owen and to Angelis who brought this to our attention.

Yellow F50, gee that is gorgeous and so is the MC Stradale, i am seeing one tomorrow and i can not wait. Glad you enjoyed the GTS MC Elliott, it is a wonderful car.

Also many thanks to HR Owen for hosting yet another open day at their service centre and for making this year better than last year. The barbecue/drinks area outside by the canal was a great idea.

Just got back. An absolutely fantastic day. I got to drive the GranCabrio, which I thought was a great GT car. Although it was 'only' the 4.7 auto I thoroughly enjoyed driving it. The power delivery and the gear changes, even during hard acceleration, were super smooth and the noise was absolutely awesome. I was very fortunate and also got to drive the Californian which, again, was a fantastic GT. The power was there in abundance and the gear changes were absolutely flawless, despite being engineered to give a very slight 'blip' to show you when the gear has been changed. Again the sound was beautiful although, IMO, not as melodious as the GC. Ryan, my son was lucky enough to get a passenger ride in the 458 and in the 599 GTO which appeared during the afternoon.
