Hi All, Just to let you know that in contacting Jan at Ace to make sure we're okay for the 11th, she made me aware that there's a Fueltopia event that morning also.

Fueltopia are doing a toy run in aid of the Shooting Stars Childrens Hospice (kudos for that!) and plan to meet at Ace for breakfast. I've contacted the organiser to let him know we'll be there also, but haven't heard back yet. Jan is happy that Ace can accommodate both parties. I believe their plan is to meet there between 9am and 11am and then drive over to the hospice to donate toys and have the children see and sit in their cars.

So if all works to timetable, our arrival should be about right, but knowing things never quite run to plan, please just respect what they're doing when you arrive.

i did the fueltopia run last year - A few of the Petrolhead Nirvana mob did it, many of you know Harsh, assume they'll be there again... was gonna do it again, but I'm double booked (we must all make sacrifices for the Sports Maserati Empire, even the children).... what I was planning to do was take along a few toys and give them to the Fueltopia guys making the run to the Hospice. If any of you like that idea, any toys will do as long as they are new... the hospice has a range of ages so "early learning" type toys are good, through to chart CDs for some of the teenagers. The Shooting Star Hospice itself is a fabulous place, which some amazing facilities to help kids cope, but the upkeep is high. There's nothing that irks me more than being badgered for "charidy", but it will be a nice touch if we could offer a few xmas pressies from Sports Maserati.. it's a good cause

On a different note, the number of cars there last year was (surprisingly) few, so I doubt if it will have much impact on our plans. See you all there!

Si, I was thinking the same myself. Been waiting to hear from James who's organising the Fueltopia toy run but haven't heard from him yet. I'd certainly be happy to donate a toy.

Dem, that's very kind but checking the details I think they need to be new, boxed etc. I'm going to pop down Argos or somewhere and pick up a couple of toys for them.

If anyone does want to donate toys, that's great, but you may need to get to Ace a little earlier, say 10.30am to make sure you don't miss them.
