Morning all. Taking MIL to see Mrs C senior in Bedford, then out for lunch. I imagine this will be somewhat draining. Oh well. Have a good one, all

Morning all, a great start today. Had dropped wife's touraeg at local garage yesterday for new window regulator and new front pads.
Well they phoned and said have snapped the locking nut key in the nut blaming whoever changed rhe tyres last time. The guy they use to remove wheel nuts wasn't available, but would cost 250-350, but risk of new hub as well. Most unimpressed, so this am am just wacked a 12 point socket over the locking nut and hey presto have got the locking nut off.
The local garage calls itself a jag specialist and even has the odd ferrari in. Won't be going back.
Was trying to support local business.

Woke to unexpected rain this morning which has rather spoilt plans for a bike ride (fair weather rider:eek:).
So off for coffee and a read of the papers instead.
Plan to head into London later to take my watch to Cartier for a service. It’s been worn daily for 15years and never missed a beat but I think it’s about time I let them take a look at it.
As it’s so well worn and a little battered I know they will rise their eyebrows and suggest a refurb, we shall see how much they quote.
