Oh yes! I shall be using one of their trains to go to town for a lunch meeting (and a couple of personal errands) on Friday. I don't miss the commute, or the cost.

I thought they did with the prices for an annual season ticket when I worked in London.
Now I live in Kent the prices on GA are a positive bargain compared to what you pay down here!
Hence when I go into London now I catch a train after 9.30am!

Morning all. Busy day of invoicing and meetings and waiting.
Waiting for things to close, and waiting for the date when they will book Alex in for her C-section.
We now know it will either be tomorrow, Thursday, Friday or Tuesday.
With the restless sleep Alex had last night, which in turn means I get little sleep, the sooner the better is my thought on a delivery date!

The 9 months is up on 6th November. So she has to come out sooner because of the position of the placenta.
Oh, and the sooner she's out, the better the chance of some decent sleep.

Fwiw, I happened upon a bit a gossip in the rarified surroundings of the Jackie Stewart Suite at Goodwood, where the well healed were discussing high-end 1st world problems; it appears that the value of the Porsche 918 may drop significantly when the battery packs start needing replacement. Apparently Porsche are quoting £400k for the work required to safeguard the next 5-6 years of electric assisted motoring. Welcome to the brave new world.

So this evening coming out of north Wales heading for an overnight in Northwich we passed a field/paddock by the road and in it was a fairground haunted house, all set up, for a moment I thought it a little odd, then I realised we were in Cheshire! “We are considerably ritcher than yauw!”
