I've heard no good things about them P. I believe Matt has some experience of them and didn't rate them either. Go with Belfast Brakes. They're a bargain. I have them and, though no different to OEM, perform more than adequately.

My advice leave ebc pads well alone , waste of money where Massers are concerned if used for street use only , , if using purely for the track , then they pass just about but i'd rate them only 5 out of 10 , Ferodo pads are probaly the best standard masser pad you will get bang for buck , with mintex coming a close 2nd , ceramic pads are the next real kind of upgrade but ideally done in conjunction with racing fluid and stainless brake lines

Oh Frank pretty sure those brake drums specs are very similar, without going on MF which i will do at some time tomorrow

P, they re-line shoes but also do pads. Matt arranged a forum discount. I have their pads all round and am quite happy.

Oh...cool...missed the whole pad aspect of offer.....brand on them...or.....got the link...or quote for pads prices?

Heres the words part......

SportsMaserati.com proud to announce Belfast Brake discount offer...
I am please to announce that Belfast Brakes and SportsMaserati.com have negotiated a high performance Ferodo/Brembo(Fedral Mogul) deal to our members.

They are a far superior compound than the OEM fit with higher heat dispersal capability to eliminate brake fade, and ultra low dust so ideal for your OEM drilled discs.

The price, inclusive of postage and VAT is £35 per front or rear set. The beauty of Belfast Brakes, is that you can order over the phone by credit card or paypal.

Please do not confuse these with EBC Green Stuff, because that they are not.

An ultra low dust high friction, high temperature compound with a heat transfer layer next to the backing plate to transfer heat away from the disc and pad enabling operating temperatures of slightly over 520deg with no fade at all. Green Gripper low dust pads complement the drilled disc range perfectly.

Please PM me for the promotional code.

Dogleg"

Again Loz...at the risk of repeating that whole thread.....the whole drilling/grooving of "plain" discs was frowned on etc.......so again, can these Brembo/Ferrari discs be safely substituted for the OEMs?

As I understand it, OEM, whether Ferrari of Maserati, is Brembo. Just needs to be the right part and REALLY Brembo, rather than a Brembo box with some unmarked disk inside.

Dunno P, but if they're Brembo and drilled as well as vented, then the price makes it puntable. I just need to sort out the other bits on my shopping list and maybe I'll give them a call.

Looking at Enzo's 550 pictures, they clearly show drilled. so if the ebay ones are Brembo and 550 equivalent, then they may well be an option. Hmmm? Shiltech had a 550 in last week. Wonder whether it's still there? May go and have a look.

Guys, the ones on my 550 are brand new, only done 100 miles...am sure I can find a code on the disks if that helps?

So you can cross reference the part number against the Brembo sourced Maserati discs or?

Really hope we can nail this down....:)

The part no if still on the invoices might be helpful Enzo

Right, hope I'm not giving you a b*m steer here...
This is from the Emblem invoice for it's last service at 40318 miles (now on 41407, so meant to say the disks have only done 1,100 miles!)...
184652 Brake Disk (front) 2 @ 179 380 plus VAT (plus 75 to fit including cleaning and checking the rears),
I can also get the stamped number from the edge of the disk tomorrow if that helps, let me know.
Regards,
Enzo.
