Likewise. I'll probably still go if it is only showers but if it is overcast with prolonged periods of rain, I probably wont.

I guess if its really overcast you wouldn't really see anything up in the Welsh hills!

As long as you can see the road, any lurking scuffers and it's dry enough to put the power down, that's all you need really!

It'll be great to have a few of you along, have you seen the updates on the thread over at AO? I've been trying to get someone to test a itinerary file for TOM TOM as my other half has ours and I wont be able to test it til tomorrow.

Really looking forward to this, I'm staying over sat night in the Chester West Hotel so see you guys on Sunday Morning. :)

Looks like we could have a good group of around 30 cars +

Sean, my car's ready and waiting. She's been washed, waxed, serviced, filled with super and has got a new BMC air filter in. All we need is good weather and all the boxes are ticked. We will, hopefully, see you at the meet.

Sean mate, great to meet all you guys. We (the Porsche turbo and me) did, however, split off from the main group on the way to Bala as the going was a little stop-start. We had a fantastic run across to Bala, a coffee at the lakeside cafe, bounced off the spider in passing and then did two laps of the triangle. The first, a sighting lap to make sure there were no scuffers about and then a full blast lap. Fabulous! We then left for a sharpener at a pub in Rhuthin and then home. 282 miles, a full tank of super and an ear to ear grin. Thanks for the invite and it was good to meet you. BTW, I hope your repair is quick, easy and cheap. Also, please pass on our thankyous to the Alfa owners for making us feel so welcome.

I think Sean may have taken a few. He will probably be along soon to put me straight either way. I only took my iPhone and the camera is fairly cr4p, so I don't tend to take piccys. I may have to start, even if it's just to answer questions like yours Andy!

Very nice to meet you too and thanks for bringing such a glorious sounding machine along (sounded far better than the pork). When I was following you along the A55 before the tunnels I just ahd both windows down and I was feathering it in 6th so I could just listen.

It sounds like God Gargling :D

Unfortunately I got trailer back from the top of the pen y pass and because of new restrictions on recovery ranges got handed over to 2 other recovery trucks, Got home about 9pm

Looks like its the cerank position sensor, a fairly common fault but not one you want to encounter half way up the pen y pass. :(

Piccies here

Thanks Sean. I have registered with the AO and viewed the piccys and they are very good. I also posted my thanks on the Evo Triangle thread and we will, hopefully, be able to join you guys again for another run in the future.
