They're certainly a lot cheaper than the 550 at the moment, a contemporary car to the 456 but double the price! ... Is that difference justified?
Some will think so , 2 seats etc , modern Daytona ?? a bit like the 456 the styling is a bit marmite , I prefer the look of the 456 in most colours over the 550 .

Very justified. The 550 is a far better drivers car and way more reliable. Better in every way. The only reason to take a 456 over a 550 would be for the need of the kiddie seats in the back. But to buy a 90's Ferrari just for it's ability to carry the kids around would be a little strange.

It's why i had a Mondial...and with the top down, I could almost not hear them screaming.

That is lovely but WOW that is a price. I would take an FF over that and have lots of change.
I never got on with the FF’s looks and that Ferrari itself admit they got bits of it wrong. Not exactly an elegant-looking machine is it (admittedly I find the 612 elegant, and the 365/400/412 beautiful… so, er…)?

Agree with that. When I went to buy a 456 nearly a quarter of a century ago I test drove a 550 and it was epic, far better than the 355 I also drove but that's more to do with the fact that I don't like the cab forward, fast turn in of mid-engined cars. Anyway I saved a fortune by buying a 3200 instead of the 456 and then got hooked on Maseratis'.

Agree not an elegant Ferrari but more in the vain of the Alfa SZ sort of way. Then I look at what Ferrari produce today and it looks bloody stunning :) …. I love the 612 but not at 200k.
