exactly, although i would be tempted to get the 275 GTS but you could have a Dino and a Daytona for the price of a 275, i would have a Daytona and a Dino in Rosso Corsa, surprised i would not chose yellow?

Adam agreed, there are other gems like the 275, but these 2 in my mind epitomise what Ferrari was all about and are instantly recognisable by car and non car fans alike.

One guy, Donnymac I think, was talking about a mate who bought a 360 Spyder and was not flash at all, a builder I think, and he was driving down a London street and someone just threw a milkshake or something all over him (roof down) and his car and just walked off. I know these hoodlums exist and should be shot on sight, but this is an indicator of what I am trying to sum up with the Dino and the Daytona.

Love the Daytona's era and the BB era they were my introduction to the Ferrari back in 1977 whilst working for Ugland, shipping them to the states , one trip we had about 160 Dino's on board and it wasn't difficult to swap allegiance , those dino lines are to die for , and the 2nd car that i had driven that fitted me like a glove almost as if it was tailored to my needs , and they handle like nothing else especially on wooden car decks heheh great fun

You can get them for around £50k if you look hard. Might need a little fettling but nothing serious.

Remember talking to Nigelo about his BB , he had the 3.6 i think not the 5 litre jobby back in the early 80's said it was worth 10 times now what he sold it for, now that would have been a shrewd investment , think the Dino was around £13K back in 1976- 77 about the price of your average terraced house and the BB around £17K about the price of a semi

Thanks for posting those Matt, found that really interesting, always liked the 308 GT4 even though many say it is ugly, personally for what they cost today, the only other Ferrari you can get for under 20K is a Mondial which lets face it is a dog. Although, i prefer this GT4 instead.

I can boast at being the Ferrari Dino 308GT4 expert here.........I had one for 18 months. When it went it was glorious but you need a bank balance from here to eternity to keep one. Buying one is just the beginning........it would be cheaper to buy a 355 in the long run. All in all the 308GT4 is the car from ****

Andy, watched it for years and love it, just keep watching the repeats over and over again, but hey, that's Sky for you. It can be a bit "CHEESE" in places but I have learnt alot from it.

Other Shows to look out for are The Garage and American Hotrod, although I try to avoid the American shows, but this one is not bad. Boyd died a year back so that's the end of that really. Overhauling just irritates me, and the jury is out on West Coast Custom.
