Selespeed....Don't mention that pile of poo.......

Ditto :)

Congrats on the car Dave. Coincidently I was playing with the alfaromeo.co.uk Configurator the other evening while the missus was watching some pile of poo on the box. I was erring towards the 1.4 petrol with TCT. I can't believe for some one who hated his Selespeed I would actually be considering the TCT but I hear it's a world away.

Post a running report when you get a few miles done.

OK folks.

One week and about 400 miles done.

Have to say that I'm really impressed. Had many many Alfas in the past and I'd say this is the best since the first 166 (flawed but brilliant car!) I had.
Of the more modern Alfas had the 159 (wasn't a fan) and Mito - OK.

Done a mixture of driving and averaging a tad under 50mpg (apologies for discussing fuel economy on a Masser website!).
Fit and finish is lovely and nice to get a decent sound system in a car for a change!

Drive very smooth and the 2.0 170 tractor engine goes like a train.

Very happy - G during the week and GS at the weekend!

Nice combi I think.

Nice to hear Alfa seem to be getting their house in order and getting the basics right.

We just need them to deliver on their sports cars, none of this American Pig Iron engines they have done in the past.

If reports are to be belived FGA have bought an Italian engine firm who have a very capable V6 developed and ready for a bit of Alfa magic to be sprinkled on it.....it needs to go in the 4C though....ok, the 6C then, but still, good times might be returning.

Ferrari, Maserati and Fiat are all doing well, so the company is 50% there, and Alfa seems to be heading in the right direction. So, Lancia, whats happening there....Frank???

Again Matt.......its not great news........Lancia still very popular in Italy......still have a reputation...but a marriage made in the USA just doesn't inspire as regards new models and engines/body combinations....important to enthusiasts, but general public?!

Marchionne is a shrewd business man though...all sorts in pipeline......wait and see

Get the Alfa chipped, it should make quite a difference to the power output.
