I had a Lancia Y10 Turbo 20 years ago!
Fantastic buzz box, intercooled unbustable 1049cc engine, om a rolling road shoot out produced 99BHP when at the same time Ford Escort Turbo's where struggling to make 130BHP!

You have to love the Italian house brick aproach to aerodynamics of this era... I had a succession of Fiats in the late 80's & early 90's and they all had slab designs.... Yes I admit I owned a Regatta Saloon!!!

I think I suffered enough owning it Frank!

THis was effectively the Fiat 124 (I think) converted to a transverse front wheel drive as opposed to an inline rear; Fiats early attempt at a mid-size front wheel drive. Unburstable engine but it used to suffer from torque roll of the engine and snap the exhaust every few weeks! I got so fed up with it being in for repairs I purchased a 6' length of flexible pipe, cut it in three and welded bits of scaffold tube in the ends. This replaced the front box and they would last about 6 months before it tore them apart!!! Had it a couple of years and did about 90k in it and Jeanette had it as her first car when she moved from bikes to cars as the children started to arrive... Couldn't sell it in the end and actually had an offer to push it 'in the river' for me from an east end trader!!!

Ha! there's a guy near me in Edinburgh who used to have TWO Gammas on his driveway!

After witnessing my mates Y10 shenanigans, I stuck with Fiats.

So I can top your Gamma ENZ 525; I had two Cromas!!

Enzo, think I said before but I loved the Gamma...When I was 17 and I bought a Fiat X19 the garage had a gold colour one and remember thinking how much I wanted it.......

Agree with you Andy...fantastic motor....especially when the boxer ran well ( which wasn't that often to be honest :D )

Tried to trace it...reg was KEV 99V, but no luck so far!

Love those cars Scarlan, infact pretty much all Lancias up till the 90's, then after the Grale, they just lost there way.

We know they were built like cr@p, but they drove and went like stink, such a waste they are just branded Dodges now.
