Gotthard Pass was open on Thursday.

Some of the Andermatt loop was closed Friday, but only AM. There was snow up there, but not fresh. More on this when I've got time to go through the pics.

Bags are packed, driving gloves (5 pairs) are packed, watches (5) are packed - that means I'm ready to go!!

Meeting Paul and Enzo at 7am for a quick bacon sarnie and coffee, Chunnel then fast blast to Reims for a few photos. Then a back-road drive to Beaune to sample some Montrachet and Chablis in a lovely hotel and relaaaaax.

Day 2 Geneva via the Jura mountains and the Col de La Faucille into Gex, then more relaxing by the lake in 23deg sunshine :)

Then the alps are our playground, though Stelvio and St Gottard are already closed due to snow!! We'll stay at lower levels...

See y'all next week :)

Have a whale of a time lads , just gutted for you that the snows on the higher levels seem to have come early this year , none the less sure you have loads of fun , just play safe and take it easy ,

And Lewis , hope those gloves ahve plenty of grip lefty on em hahaha

Bugger! but to be honest Stelvio isn't a patch on Fluella for actual driving, did you manage to do the Andermat loop i suggested?

Agree Harsh , but the Stelvio to Bormio when clear and not too sunny is a superb run none the less , going through those mountain tunnels is like hitting a strobe light when sunny , Waiting to hear and see your exploits Woody

No, we carried on up to Amiens and did about 700 miles in the day. We usually try and spend a bit of time on the battlefields if we are in France and our time was a bit limited. Great blast through the mountains though, the sound coming back of the rock walls was spine tingling.

I'm amazed Paul and Enzo havent been online and posted stuff up yet! I bought an SD card reader today so will download mine and post a few up tonight.

Suffice to say great food, great roads, interesting hotels (esp the red light district of Geneva!) and great company! Hopefull the pictures will do the trip justice :)

Some huge speeds reached and only one pull, Monsieur Plod didn't like the cut of Enzo's jib so he got landed, very unfairly, with Eu90 on the very last day!

A few from me as well! Looking back through, wish I;d taken a few to give you an idea of the roads we drove through the mountains...

Very much in no particular order either... as they appear in the posts... Reims, Jura muntains, Luzern, Jura, Beaune, Geneva, Chateau Pommery, Luzern, Luzern, Pommery again, Black Forest, Durbach, Beaune (again).

............red light district?.............

Well Enzo got a kiss blown at him as we drove away... we still aren't sure whether by a man or woman. Certainly wearing women's clothes... but that's all we know! Let's just say Geneva has a bit that none of us knew existed...

Guys,

Enzo, Lewis, thanks for making the trip and sharing the photo's...

When you next start to plan an even greater extravaganza across europe please remember to give me timely notice,,, I will make every attempt to fly over and join you, and hire something interesting to do it in... your cars gentlemen look awesome...!!!! I am not surprised Enzo was blown a kiss in a car like that.... I have had a number of drivers waving and laughing and jumping up and down with joy when following me in my car. My neigbour claims to have heard my car across the valley with its larini's in full song... I doubt it, but he is very insistant.... in his view.

I can imagine Enzo was in automotive heaven with every turn of the wheel.... I know I would be..
