Mine has been on charge today. Soon I'm going to go and have a look and see how many lights are lit up. #SO_EXCITED!

I think you need one of these, or your lives are not complete.

On the trickle charger issue guys, how simple are they to use, any special precautions with a Maser?

Ohhh *shiny*.

I recall my CTEK has more LED's though ;)

C

Yes, but just look at the range of colours!

None that I'm aware of, P. Just plug 'n' leave, as far as I can tell. The genius thing is being able to plug it straight into the 12V socket in the boot. Saves digging the battery out from underneath all the boot trim and the usual stuff which lives in the boot.

Looked in handbook....no sign of one.....

Is in battery compartment?

P

Sure is. I confess, it had not occurred to me to use that. It's permanently on, which is actually not very much use, I feel. I have an electric cold box, but I don't dare leave it plugged in. It'll just kill the battery.

I have the connector cable connected to to the terminals and just plug the C-TEK in when I need to. Will be getting the comfort accessory at some point.

I have one of those swan neck map reading lights in the battery compartment.
Never used it but think if I have a problem in that area I can plug it in to the 12v socket.

Hi AdamN

My CTek MXS 5.0 arrived today. I was interested in your comment about pugging it straight into the 12v socket in the boot. Do you need an extra cable for that? Mine only came with the normal croc clips or terminal eyes cables.

Also, is it ok just to leave it plugged in all the time I'm not using it? Presume I just use the normal battery program?

Robert, the cable with the terminal eyes are to save you using the croc clips all the time. The croc clips cable detach at the plug and you can connect your charger into the cable with the teminal eyes. I wouldn't use the 12V socket as this is fused and if you blow the fuse on this, then you won't be charging the battery. And yes it's fine to kepp pulgged in all the time as the charger float charges the battery. It was made to do this.
