West of England and South Wales Events - General Information for Events in the Area

I'm going to propose this as a standing thread for initial information about any events happening in the West of England or South Wales. People who are interested in that sort of thing can 'watch' this thread and see new announcements about things that are happening.

Someone can then start a separate thread for any particular event which seems to have caught lots of people's interest.

I suggest that the map below is the rough boundary of this topic.

Great idea. I'm on the Northern edge of this area - interested in anything happening in mid-Wales / South Shropshire / Herefordshire / etc. and further afield once the weather warms up and the salt has been washed off the roads.

Apparently there will be a Maserati Club Spring Meet & Lunch on 24 March 2019 at the Cotswold Classic Motor Hub near Bibury, Gloucestershire.

I'll be up for that maybe, there's normally a Stage Rally I attend every year the last weekend of March (Cearwent Philw969), and my Son will be taking his ex-works Nissan Sunny F2 kit Car.

Yes, probably.
I have been gently suggesting that the Club might consider making the website, and maybe some events a bit more open to non-members to encourage wider engagement, but it is a tricky thing if you are dependant on subscriptions.

Just found this event at Shelsley Walsh in July, thought it may be of interest.
There is options for clubs or individuals to display, and you can enter for some untimed runs up the hill (GT is on eligibility list.) I will probably go along, but I am debating whether to enter for runs or to just to display.

So we now have a date for our first West of England 2019 event.

April 7th we will be holding a tour around the NW cotswolds taking in the blossom trail.

Start is currently being arranged but it will have catering for a late breakfast and coffee followed by the tour and a stop at a nice pub for lunch then return.

We have four cars so far but please add yourself to the list and we will post further details soon.
