Good to see no more accidents in the last 12 hours.

Shame for the new Porsche in the last few hours.

Well done Audi...again...but even better to Rebellion!!!! and a 5th for a P2 car!!!

My car now picked up and en-route to the UK and, hopefully, we will be reunited in the next 17 days. Nothing much to do now so busily getting p!ssed to prepare for the journey back with Dodgy Dan in his Elise. ;)

I'd much rather drive than be driven and Dan has said he will be keeping it under 3000rpm through the box just to p!ss me off. He will!

Finally got back a day late, Spyder is making her way back (probably with Bennys) over the next 14 days going straight to Emblem to sort out the clutch issue other than that a super weekend sorry didn't meet up with you guys so many other people to see (oh and lots of beer).

Roll on next year
:)

Glad to see you still smiling, Andy. Le Mans was an excellent time, and timed perfectly with getting my exhaust sorted, ready for plenty of tunnel-bound revving of engines to please the crowd. The whole SM team were great to be with most of the time...and good comedy value when not.

Will do it again.

Oh, and there was a race. They go round and round for 24 hours and Audi win.

Bloody brilliant trip! Great crowd, great accommodation, great car-related fun. Glad my clutch didn't completely fail and leave me stranded in France. Will sleep well tonight!

Fantastic few days away - just what I needed.

Thanks to Matt for organising such a superb bit of accommodation as well as everything else.
Great company, great weather and a bit of motor racing too.

Keywords for future searches of this topic are:
Raining haribo, wooden duck smash, haribo in the gutter, ping-pong table carnage, alternator failer, clutch broken, ..... mungley ****

cheers all, same time next year!

Oh and I do have pics of Benny in his "new" car.
Sadly I can't work out how to upload them on here from my phone, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow when I'm back in the office.

As much as we wanted it to be something French, and even though there was a Peugeot sat there ready and waiting... it turned out to be something much worse/better depending on your point of view.

I regretted not following you to see it.....get them up asap.....haha my money is on a korean ****
I've seen a pic. It's worse than Korean. I would absolutely love to see Benny driving his new wheels right now!

Clutch decided to slip on the way to Arnage yesterday. It was a spirited drive, but nothing like other days. I parked her up, sulked and thought about organising a recovery truck. Went back to her half an hour or so later and she worked fine. No slip since after another 500 miles so hoping all is well. Apparently there was a bit of a clutch smell when pulling away from the peages but nothing too bad. Will keep an eye on her and see if anything needs mending. At least she's back in Blighty and not festering in a French garage!!

Just got home after a fairly harrowing drive in a hateful, gutless piece of sh!t. 65 uphill but I thrashed the cr4p out of it downhill and got a reasonable but fairly scary top speed, but I would rather walk than use that shitbox as a daily driver. Anyhoo, thanks for a great trip fellas. The alternator problem blew the ar5e out of it a bit but we recovered it well and had a nice last evening and a pretty stirring trip back. Thanks Dan! Wish I could have taken part in a rev-off in the car deck with the other noise boys but I guess we can do that on the way to Modena. Same again next year, hopefully with Stu, Dan and Dem in Masers as well. Can't wait!
