Unfortunately no. However, the recovery has been authorised by my insurance company so it looks like I can sleep all the way home. What a p!sser!

Friday 13th bit me on the a55 today. It looks like the regulator/rectifier has blown on my spyder. It started playing up a few days ago but was generally behaving itself. Today, on a rather spirited run across to Arnage, it didn't; the voltage fluctuated between 12 and 16 with the red light going on and off. On the way home it was charging at 16.2 at idle and with any revs it was off the scale to well beyond 17. I managed to coax her back to the house and by the time we got there the battery was too hot to touch, the case was bulging and it sounded like a kettle as the gasses vented under pressure. Three hours later it was still hot to the touch and it must have been very close to exploding. Unfortunately, it will have to be recovered to the UK and I am trying to sort that at the minute. Friday the thirteenth strikes again. Bollox.
Feel bad for you Ian, always the little things that feck things up.

Ben, just a thought...You don't think this is French revenge for all the things you have said about them....

Darn Benny, thats unlucky. Perhaps it's time to consider a more reliable car, such as a 3200 or a Datsun.

Still sunny here in the West of the UK, I see the sun is going down there...at least its dry. Another portion of Chicken off the BBQ for me and an Aperol Spritz.
